Mental health is just as important as physical health. There are many factors we cannot control but thankfully there are many we can. The people with whom we associate ourselves can have a profound effect on our mental health. Take an inventory of your friends, co-workers and family members. Is there anyone who is constantly belittling you or making you feel poorly about yourself? Perhaps it is time to disassociate yourself from that person. There will be instances when you cannot remove yourself from a negative relationship. In that case the best course of action is to either confront the person. They may not realize their actions are affecting you.
Seek out people who bring out the best in you. Surround yourself with positive friend and family members who lift you up and make you feel better about yourself.
