My family and I spent the 4th of July holiday visiting Sanibel Island, FL. There is a bike path around the entire island so we rented bikes to see the sites. The governing bodies have taken great steps to keep the island as natural as possible. Most of the buildings are set off the road among the foliage and the building colors blend in nicely.
We visited the Edison & Ford Winter Estates just over the bridge in Ft. Myers. As you stroll through the beautifully manicured grounds and well-maintained estate homes, you see signs warning of falling fruit.
Isn’t that just like life? As we stroll through the good times enjoying the view, something drops on our heads like a death in the family, job loss or illness. As much as the falling fruit hurts or knocks us about, we have to keep living our lives.
Don’t spend your days looking up for the next falling mango and miss the beauty around you.
